I also ask prayer for the First Temple Youth Group in the days ahead, as they gather together with the knowledge that one of their friends is already in the presence of Jesus.

Adrian Banks was tragically killed on 2/9/2026 when he was hit by a car while riding his bike. Adrian attended the Youth Group that Alyssa helps with at First Temple. He had just dedicated his life to Christ over the weekend at DNOW. Adrian was known to the members of the First Temple Youth Group as Funny, Kind, Possessing a Child-Like Faith & a Heart for Service.
Mark 10:15 (NIV) 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
Tonight First Temple held a service for the Youth Group honoring Adrian Banks. As each student and volunteer lined up to share their testimony of how Adrian touched their lives, not one failed to mention Adrian’s Constant Smile or Overwhelming Love for Christ.

At the end of the service, 17 youth came forward to confess their Faith in Jesus Christ for the first time! Only GOD could take such a tragedy and bring such joy out of it. Adrian’s Legacy will continue to live on in the Faith and Lives of those who knew him. As Miguel Garcia, Youth Director @ FBT, said to the youth tonight “Adrian’s Ministry has Just Started!”
Please continue to keep the Banks Family in your prayers. Adrian’s brother, Cameron-15, was on the scene, his sister, Aubrey-10, sustained serious injuries and has a slow recovery ahead of her. They must all process their grief while simultaneously focusing on Aubrey’s healing.
I also ask, please, consider giving to the GoFundMe account set up in the family’s name. This will help Adrian’s family cover the unexpected expenses that this tragedy has created: funeral costs, Aubrey’s Medical Care, and any miscellaneous needs of the family during this time of profound grief & loss. Thank you all for anything that you can give to help this family. I know that your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Please, also lift up Miguel Garcia, the Youth Director at First Temple, and all of the workers and volunteers that serve the First Temple Youth Group. They will be leading the Youth of our community through a season of anger, grief, loss, pain & questions.
James 5:16
The prayers of the righteous is powerful and effective.
